Module 3 has provided an overview of the EDITO-Model Lab Applications available on the EDITO Platform. Participants could browse through the available tutorials.

In this session, we will present two applications of EDITO-Model Lab and demonstrate their use in detail:

• EDITO-Model Lab Validation Toolbox - A Jupyter Notebook based service that contains a validation workflow for EDITO model outputs. It enables harmonized and standardized validation of model outputs from any application, thereby ensuring comparability and reliability of the produced outputs. Find the slides here
• Habitat Suitability Modelling with Delft3D FM - A workflow that includes various components, which could be completed sequentially or separately, depending on the user needs. The workflow consists of the following steps:
  1. Setup a new Delft3D-FM coastal model simulating physical and biogeochemical spatial data using EDITO’s Delft3dfm-modelbuilder.
  2. Launching a Delft3D FM simulation on EDITO
  3. Compute habitat suitability maps on the EDITO platform, using D-Eco Impact
  4. Visualize resulting habitat suitability maps

The aim is not only to demonstrate their functionality but also to explain how they can be used and integrated into the projects of hackathon participants.
