What is EDITO Model Lab

EDITO Model Lab is a EU funded A 3-year project aiming to develop the next generation of ocean models, combining artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, to be integrated into the EDITO public infrastructure, providing access to focus applications and simulations of different what-if scenarios.

EDITO Model Lab leverage skills and expertise from a European consortium of 13 partners across 8 countries gathered around ocean numerical modelling.

EDITO Model Lab comes at the intersection of :

  1. state-of-the-art ocean numerical modelling
  2. capacities and values enabled by the EDITO Platform
  3. european communautary resources (eg. Copernicus, WEkEO, EuroHPC, DestinE)
  4. intermediate to end user needs for Digital Twins of the Ocean
